The Birdies were a bit irritated that we'd been gone, but were really happy that Aunt Leslie took such great care of them!!

More Vegas.... and the end!

Steve found a quiet corner... if you can even imagine such a thing in Las Vegas... and had a Scotch and Cigar!

The Last day of the Convention we went to the Propworx Auction, which is owned and run by our friend Alec Peters, if you are in need for a Prop or Costume from one of the popular movies, including Iron Man, Stargate, Star Trek ... you can check them out at Propworx.

Here is Robert Picardo, in his Chair from Voyager, in which he played "the Doctor!"

The Star Trek Experience "Quarks" sign, was one of the highest auction items from the ST Experience items.

After the Auction and the Convention was over we spent a nice quiet evening at one of the quiet Hilton bars, with Mel, the bartender. We saw many of our friends, and ended up having dinner with one of the producers of the first Star Trek movie, he had incredible insight as to Gene Roddenberry's making of the first movie as well as his perspective on his first convention. It's conversations like this that make conventions once in a lifetime experiences. Matt, Carolan and Susie also joined us!!

After dinner, we met up with Linda, Annette, Dana, Willie, Anthony and Alec......

Vegas... and the Star Trek Convention

On the 12th day of our vacation, we began the last leg of the journey and that was the Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas!!! We began collecting costumes and props years ago, which led to our wedding in Vegas, two years prior, so it is a very special time when we get together with our Trekkie friends to celebrate our anniversary! Our friends began arriving Wednesday night and the party began!!

On our Anniversary, we spend the day at the Convention with our friends and seeing some of the people who worked on the show and the actors we know. It was a great day!!

We ended the evening with dinner with some fabulous friends! Thanks Susie, Edward, Carolan and Matt for sharing our special evening!!

Zion National Park ... UTAH!!

So, as if a day at Hoover Dam and Liberace's Musuem wasn't enough... we took the next day and headed to UTAH!! Yes..that's right, we went to Zion National Park in Utah, just about two and half hours from Las Vegas, it is an incredible drive and completely worth it!

Here are some pictures just to show you how incredible Zion is!!! We didn't get a chance to go to Bryce Cannon, but we are definitely going back.

AMAZING!!

We stopped and had lunch in the Park, there are cabins that you can rent and stay! In case you would like to visit, here are the Cabins!

Hoover Dam And Liberace's Museum

Our next day, we ventured out to Hoover Dam!! WOW!! What an incredible place! We took the tour and we walked out onto the Dam`It's an incredible engineering feat! They are getting ready to close the actual dam and are almost finished with the bridge that will go OVER the dam!

Liberace's Museum!!

The oldest Piano dating back to 1750s, only two in existence.

After Hoover Dam, we headed back to Vegas and went to Liberace's Museum. I was amazed at the costumes, the jewelry and Steve even enjoyed the rare automobiles Liberace collected as well as the vast array of Pianos.
